In the wake of pummeling crisis emanating as from the suspended Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, the State Government has decided to shut down the institution for two weeks.
Both students and members of staff have therefore been ordered to proceed on a 2- week break with immediate effect.
This is contained in a issued and signed by the Commissioner for Education in the State, Hon. Dipo Eluwole.
The release further stated that the break is a necessary action in order to maintain peace in the institution, consequent upon the forceful return of the suspended Rector, Dr. T.A. Odetayo.
Hon. Eluwole then enjoined the staff and students of the institution to note that the school accounts have been frozen,with immediate effect, and that it is important for everyone to ensure strict compliance with the directives.
