Refree, Mateu Lahoz has been transferred home and will no longer adjudicator at the World Cup. Lahoz won’t be officiating any of the remaining games at the World Cup as he ‘ heads home from Qatar.
According to COPE, the adjudicator’s final game was the contentious quarter-final clash between Argentina and Netherlands, where he issued out an inconceivable 15 unheroic cards.
Lahoz’s performance wasn’t well entered by either team with Argentina’s players, particularly oral about his officiating.
