Inhumane Acts - Unidentified man washes Joe Igbokwe's relatives with acid in Nnewi



It was a painful experience for Mr. Christopher Obianefo Igbokwe, a resident of Okpunoeze Uluagu, Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of ​​Anambra State. It's a time of pain. People, who have not yet been identified, threw acid on him.

The victims were identified as relatives of Chief Joe Igbokwe, Special Adviser on Drainage and Water Resources to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

According to a video currently going viral on social media, the victim was so affected by the acid that he is now blind in both eyes.

The video also shows the victim being treated in severe pain at the Nnewi Parish Hospital in Akwudo, Otolo Nnewi.

Information about the circumstances of the acid bath and attack is currently scant, but it is believed that Mr Igbokwe was attacked on Friday evening by his brothers-in-law who deliberately threw acid in his face. The suspects are also currently on the run.

“According to reports we have received, the matter is also being handled by the Awka State Criminal Investigation Department and the culprits are at large,” the official said.

The reporter tried to find out the reaction of the Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, to the incident, but he did not answer calls or respond to messages.
