Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on Thursday launched the appeal fund for the 2023 Emblem for the Armed Forces Remembrance Day with a sum of N5 million. He promised to continue to back the veterans and relatives of the departed icons for their donation to the sustenance of peace in the country.
In his address at the launching of the emblem at the Local Government Service Commission Hall, Abere, Osogbo, Adeleke remarked that the stability of the nation rests on the gallantry, nationalism, and immolation of the security and military services.
Today is another significant period to mark and flash back the unquantifiable benefactions of members of Nigeria’s Armed Forces to the peace and stability of our great country, Nigeria. We’re gathered here as in other centrals across the country to place our debt of gratefulness on records to our departed icons who paid the supreme immolation.
The stability of the nation rests on the gallantry, nationalism and immolation of the security and military services. Service labor force of the fortified forces in particular are in numerous unpredictable sectors of the society defying and abridging open and subtle pitfalls to the territorial integrity of the country. That we must live, numerous offered their precious lives. We must thus continue to admit the benefactions of the fortified forces to the survival of the nation.
As we gathered here today, I assure the military service of the commitment of our government to expand the present position of cooperation. Our administration has a security sector reform which places weal of service labor force at the centre stage.
Today, I recommit to the well being of our service labor force. Our stagers and their families will continue to admit our support in recognition of their service to the motherland.
It’s on this note that I launch the appeal fund for the 2023 Emblem for the Armed Forces Remembrance Day with a sum of Five Million Naira.
